Three Course Lunch with wine + talk by Terry Holloway The Secret Garden Restaurant Buzzards Hall, 17 Friars Street, Sudbury CO10 2AA Wednesday May 8th at 12.00 for 12.30 Bookings have now closed
We have a private room at this excellent restaurant noted for good food with a strong French influence. The simple menu (see the link below) features healthy options and all food - even the bread - is prepared freshly on the premises.
The restaurant is located a very short walk from the centre of Sudbury with two car parks no more than a few minute walk away. (See sidebar or Restaurant website)
The building is itself remarkable and historic and hosts exhibitions by local artists and photographers. The restaurant website gives useful information as well as explaining the owners unusual philosophy. (Note the menu on their website is the current one NOT the one we shall enjoy!)
We are delighted that once again Terry Holloway has agreed to give a talk after lunch, this time on his extraordinary life in Aviation. There are so many highlights in his career it is difficult to choose a few but leading an expedition of gliders over the Andes (and being one of the few to make it!) must be one.
Terry spent 34 years in the RAF, leaving as Group Captain, he has flown more than 180 types of aircraft from gliders to fighter jets and since leaving the RAF has had a successful career in business at Board level.
Despite these commitments he finds time to teach flying, to head the Cambridge Aero Club and to organise vintage aircraft rallies around the world. He appears regularly on radio and television and is an accomplished speaker much in demand on the Cruise Ship circuit
Important: - Parking There are very limited parking spaces in Friars Street and they are limited to 1 hour! To see a map of available car parks in the town please click HERE
Also be aware that the 3 hour limit on many of the free car parks may be strictly and expensively enforced!
It would normally be possible to stop briefly to drop off outside the Restaurant
